High-Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) is a rapid manufacturing process where molten metal is injected under extreme force into a securely locked die cavity. A powerful press maintains clamping pressure until solidification is complete, after which the mold opens to eject the casting and immediately resets for the next cycle. This injection occurs in a fraction of a second. Crucially, intensification pressure is applied while the metal creates the final shape. This high pressure compresses entrapped gas and feeds additional material to compensate for shrinkage, ensuring dense, high-integrity parts.
